Daily dosage:

For adults and children over 14 years of age:
When taken over a longer period of time:

Stir one sachet (2 g) into water daily, ideally on an empty stomach.

D-mannose is absorbed into the bloodstream more quickly on an empty stomach, allowing it to work optimally. Leave a 1-2 hour gap between taking it and meals, for example, in the morning before breakfast, in the afternoon, and in the evening before bedtime.

For short-term use:

Days 1-3: 2,000 mg D-mannose 3 times daily, increasing to 1 dose every 2-3 hours is possible.

Day 4-5: 2,000 mg D-mannose twice daily

Day 6-9: 2,000 mg D-mannose once daily

Children under 14 years of age:
For children under 14 years of age, the above-mentioned dose is halved to 1,000 mg per dose. Half a sachet is then taken per dose.

The natural effects of D-mannose can be further enhanced by a slightly acidic pH level in the body. Supplementation with vitamin C or L-methionine supports this acidic environment and thus optimizes the absorption and effectiveness of D-mannose. Tip: A combination of 2 g of natural D-mannose and 500 mg of vitamin C daily can naturally complement these effects!

What are the side effects of D-mannose?
Occasionally, mild gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea, bloating, and diarrhea may occur. However, D-mannose is generally very well tolerated.

Can D-mannose be taken with antibiotics?
Yes, that's possible with 2,000 mg per day.

How long should you take D-mannose?
For prevention, we recommend taking 2g of D-mannose daily for at least 30 days. Our customers who complete this course 2-3 times a year have had very positive experiences and have achieved excellent results.

Can D-mannose be taken long-term?
In principle, D-mannose can be taken until you no longer wish to use it as a preventative measure. Many of our customers have been using it this way for years without any side effects.

Can D-mannose be taken during pregnancy?
D-mannose can generally be taken during pregnancy, but only after consulting a doctor or gynecologist. There are currently no comprehensive studies on the safety of D-mannose during pregnancy, therefore medical monitoring is recommended. The doctor can adjust the dosage individually and monitor tolerability.

Is D-mannose safe during breastfeeding?
During breastfeeding, D-mannose is generally considered relatively safe, as current knowledge indicates that it is safely processed by the body and has no known negative effects on the breastfed infant. However, consulting a doctor is advisable to consider individual factors.

Is D-Mannose from ZeinPharma® also suitable for animals?
D-Mannose is also well tolerated by horses, dogs and cats.

What dosage can I give my pet?
For example, for a 20 kg dog, D-mannose can be mixed into the food:

For prevention: Approximately 300 mg of mannose daily, which is about 0.3 teaspoons.

Increased need: Approx. 300 mg mannose every 2-3 hours, also approx. 0.3 teaspoons.
