Doppelherz system L-ARGININE VITAL 3,000 contains the important protein building block L-arginine, a semi-essential, basic amino acid. One capsule provides 750 mg of L-arginine; the daily dose of 4 capsules provides a total of 3,000 mg.

Amino acids are considered the smallest building blocks of proteins and are found in all body cells. Approximately 20% of our body consists of amino acids and proteins – especially muscles, bones, and skin. L-arginine is considered a precursor to nitric oxide (NO).

During physical exertion or stress, the natural demand for L-arginine can exceed the body's own production. Foods such as fish, meat, eggs, nuts, and legumes naturally contain L-arginine.

L-Arginine contributes to protein synthesis

Amino acids are fundamental building blocks of all body cells, especially muscles. Arginine plays a key role in protein synthesis – the basis for muscle building and regeneration.

When can the need for protein or amino acids be increased?

The body can only store protein to a limited extent. The DGE recommends approximately 0.9 g of protein per kilogram of body weight daily. During stress, intensive physical exertion, or in old age, the need may increase.
