This medical device helps treat irritations in the throat and pharynx and the associated common symptoms such as pain, difficulty swallowing, burning, and dryness.

The easy-to-dose spray is a useful aid in treating sore throats associated with pharyngitis, as it has a soothing effect on the irritated mucous membrane due to its special polysaccharide content.

The mechanism of action:

The polysaccharides contained in Doppelherz Throat Spray with Sea Buckthorn form a gel that adheres to the mucous membrane due to its adhesive properties, creating a protective barrier to shield the irritated mucous membrane.

Furthermore, the tannins in the spray cross-link saliva and mucus proteins, also forming a barrier that prevents external irritants from adhering and acts against pain, burning, and difficulty swallowing.

Finally, the polysaccharides contained in Doppelherz Throat Spray with Sea Buckthorn are able to retain water, thereby ensuring the supply of moisture to the irritated tissue.

The practical nebulizer of the Doppelherz spray allows for targeted and localized dosing.

Composition

MUCOTANNIL® complex, aqueous-glycerolic plantain extract, licorice root extract, water, fructose, peppermint essential oil, menthol, anethole, ethyl alcohol

Application

Adults and children > 12 years: 3 sprays up to 3 times daily.

Shake well before use. The nebulizer allows for targeted and localized dosing of the product.

Do not use in children under 12 years of age as the product contains alcohol.

Keep the product away from food and drinks.

Notes

Store Doppelherz® Throat Spray with Sea Buckthorn in a dry place away from direct heat or light sources. Store at a controlled temperature (15 °C - 25 °C).

Doppelherz® Throat Spray with Sea Buckthorn contains alcohol: Do not use the product in children under 12 years of age.

Do not use the product during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Keep this product out of reach of children.

Do not use if you have an intolerance to the product.

Do not use if you have known hypersensitivity to the ingredients (the product contains Icelandic Moss and Larch Arabinogalactans).

If you have gastritis or a gastrointestinal ulcer, use the product only after consulting your doctor.

In case of a hiatal hernia or narrowing of the esophagus, consult your doctor before starting to use the product.

Do not use on severely injured mucous membranes (e.g., tears, aphthous ulcers, etc.).

Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Do not use the product for more than 30 consecutive days and consult a doctor if symptoms persist.

Sore throats can be a sign of an infection. If symptoms persist or fever occurs, consult a doctor.

Since the product contains licorice, it should not be used by patients with high blood pressure. Patients taking licorice-containing medications should not use other products containing licorice, as serious side effects may occur.

If you are taking a contraceptive ("the pill"), always consult a doctor before using this product.

At the doses required to achieve a therapeutic effect, no clinically significant side effects caused by the product are known or expected. The only known contraindications are an individual allergy or hypersensitivity to the active ingredients of Doppelherz® Throat Spray with Sea Buckthorn. If adverse effects occur, stop treatment immediately and contact your doctor.

Licorice root can affect the blood pressure-lowering effect of some prescribed medications; the product should not be used by individuals taking antihypertensive agents.

Larch arabinogalactans can alter the pharmacokinetics of anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen and its derivatives. The use of the product is not recommended when taking drugs of this class.

The product contains mucilaginous polysaccharides that may affect the absorption of concurrently taken medications. Do not use Doppelherz® Throat Spray with Sea Buckthorn together with other medications, especially sublingual sprays or tablets.

In any case, it is generally advisable to use the product two hours before or after taking medications or dietary supplements. It is recommended to inform your doctor if you are undergoing medical treatment.
