Corneal Wound Healing

Corneregel®, with the proven active ingredient dexpanthenol, promotes wound healing for corneal and conjunctival injuries and stimulates corneal regeneration for a faster healing process. The eye gel is suitable for the treatment of non-inflammatory corneal diseases such as injuries caused by contact lenses or friction from foreign bodies on the cornea. It also supports the healing of corneal and conjunctival damage, chemical burns, and thermal burns.

Rapid Regeneration

The active ingredient dexpanthenol has been successfully used for decades in cases of skin and mucous membrane injuries and damage. Dexpanthenol is converted in the cells into the body's own provitamin B5 and can accelerate the natural healing process and rapid regeneration of the injured cornea.

Due to its good tolerability, dexpanthenol is also suitable for long-term use.

RECOMMENDED USE:
Tilt your head back. With the index finger of one hand, pull down the lower eyelid of the eye. With the other hand, hold the tube vertically over the eye without touching the eye and drop 1 drop into the pulled-down conjunctival sac. Close your eye slowly and move it back and forth so that the gel spreads well. Close the tube with the protective cap after each use.

The cap also serves as a stand and allows for quick and easy application by standing the tube upright.

Remove contact lenses before using Corneregel® and reinsert them only after 15 minutes.

Corneregel® can temporarily impair vision and reaction time due to streaking. Therefore, during this time, you should not participate in road traffic, operate machinery, or work without a secure footing.

WORK

During manual activities in professional or hobby settings, foreign bodies in the eye can lead to injuries, or contact with acids can cause chemical burns. Corneregel® can support and accelerate the healing process as an additional medication.

LEISURE

During sports activities in nature or children's boisterous play, the cornea can easily get injured. Corneregel® can additionally support the relief process.

CONTACT LENSES

If contact lenses are inserted and removed carelessly or worn for too long at a time, this can result in corneal erosion with irritated and painful eyes or a foreign body sensation.

Can Corneregel® be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine. Since it is not known how much dexpanthenol is absorbed into the bloodstream after local application to the eye, the benefits of using Corneregel® during pregnancy and breastfeeding should be carefully weighed against any potential risk.

Does Corneregel® affect the ability to drive and operate machines?
Since Corneregel®, even when used as intended, temporarily affects vision and thus reaction time due to streaking, you should not participate in road traffic, work without a secure footing, or operate machinery during this time. Properties.

How should Corneregel® be stored?
Do not store Corneregel® above 25 °C and protect it from light! Corneregel® must not be used for more than 6 weeks after opening.
